Purple Rain

It took us a while, but today we alight upon the first bit of headwear for a Bishop. A simple purple biretta, it is traditionally of plain silk fabric in the summer and wool in the winter. It has a purple tuft and green lining, green being the correct colour of the episcopacy (hence the green and gold cord for a pectoral cross).
