The ICKSP in their own words:
“The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest is a Society of Apostolic Life of Pontifical Right whose goal is the honor of God and the sanctification of priests in the service of the Church and souls. Its specific aim is missionary: to spread the reign of our Lord Jesus Christ in all spheres of human life. Our work is carried out under the patronage of the Immaculate Conception, to Whom the Institute is consecrated.”
Which basically means that whilst about the Lord’s work in His Vineyard, they also get to set their own rules about what colour hat they wear whilst they do it; naturally, we approve.
More soberly, information regarding the excellent work of this august society can be found here:

"They also get to set their own rules about what colour hat they wear whilst they do it" - not only their hats, but everything else as well. And all because the Abbe Wach was forbidden to continue to wear purple. Oh well, it's not the first time traddies have made up their own rules. Caeremoniarius.
ReplyDeleteFor years I thought stupidity was rampant and irony was dead. Thank you, anonymous, for confirming the former and denying the latter.
DeleteIt must be ICRSP not ICKSP.
ReplyDeleteA very nice biretta. Congratulations! Have a look at the other headgear of ICRSP (Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest) here, too.
ReplyDeleteI saw three clerics at the Anglican National two wore black biretta's trimmed with blue and a blue pom and the third in an all blue biretta and blue pom. They were definatinately not ICKSP clergy any ideas?
ReplyDeleteinformation regarding this group can be obtained from Fr Paul Williamson of St George's Hanworth Park.
